Still Unpaid $650,000 : New York Contractor Accuses Bari Home Care Owner Asif Bari Tutul of Withholding Payment for 4 Major Projects
Progga News Desk:
New York, September 13, 2025 — At a press conference held Tuesday night at Queens Palace, organized by Liberty Renovation and New York Bangladesh Community, registered contractor Mohammad A. Azad accused Asif Bari Tutul, owner of Bari Home Care, of failing to pay $650,000 owed for construction work.
Azad stated that he worked on four projects under Bari Home Care without receiving payment:
1. 1412 Castle Hill Ave, Bronx
2. 95 Church Street Ronkonkoma, Long Island, NY
3 . 10 Shetland Court, Dix Hills, NY
4. 469 Donald Blvd, Holbrook, NY
He explained that he invested personal resources to complete the projects, including borrowing money from his wife and selling family jewelry, and is now unable to pay his mortgage. A lawsuit has been filed, but he said he lacks the funds to continue it.
Azad also told reporters that for four years he was given repeated promises of repayment that were never fulfilled.
His wife, Roksana, a well-known Bangladeshi singer in New York, supported the allegations at the press conference. She said their family is under severe financial strain as a result of the unpaid debt and appealed to community members for support.
According to Azad, Bari attempted to stop the press conference by sending a legal notice beforehand, forcing the organizers to change the venue. He also said the ongoing stress has left him mentally devastated.
Organizers of the event declared that the program was held under the theme “Return our money, protect everyone’s rightful dues,” and stated that they are prepared to provide both legal and social assistance if necessary.
As of publication time, no official response had been received from Bari Home Care or Asif Bari Tutul. The report reflects the claims made by the complainant, who stated that he has full documentation and receipts to support his allegations.
