Progga News Desk:

Indian-American Republican candidate Saritha Komatireddy, a former federal prosecutor, expressed her deep gratitude to volunteers, supporters, and New Yorkers following her defeat in the November 3, 2026, election for New York State Attorney General. In a statement posted on Facebook on November 4, Komatireddy reaffirmed her commitment to public service, emphasizing her continued dedication to making New York safer and stronger.

Komatireddy thanked the thousands of volunteers, supporters, and everyday New Yorkers who stood behind her campaign and shared her vision for a safer and stronger New York.

“I am deeply grateful to the thousands of volunteers, supporters, and everyday New Yorkers who believed in our campaign and our vision for a safer and stronger New York,” Komatireddy wrote. “I’m proud of the campaign we ran. We showed that politics does not have to be about division and it’s not about hate.”

Reflecting on her campaign, Komatireddy said her team brought people together through common-sense ideas, identified common ground, and presented practical solutions aimed at improving the lives of New Yorkers.

“We brought people together around common sense, found common ground and had real concrete ideas for making people’s lives better,” she stated.

Komatireddy also underscored her belief that public office should be rooted in service to the people rather than personal ambition or recognition.

“Ultimately, that’s what public office is about — public service means serving people, not celebrity or personal gain,” she wrote.

Reaffirming her commitment to the community, she added that her future endeavors would continue to focus on serving others and strengthening public safety throughout New York.

“Whatever I do moving forward will be about exactly that — serving others and making New York safer,” Komatireddy said.

Democratic incumbent Letitia James secured victory in the election, winning a third term as New York State Attorney General. Komatireddy had received the endorsement of President Donald Trump, who described her as an “America First Patriot.”

Despite the electoral outcome, Komatireddy’s post emphasized that her commitment to public service extends beyond the campaign and the outcome of the election. Her message highlighted the importance of unity, practical solutions, accountability, and the well-being of New Yorkers.

Her statement serves as a reaffirmation of her determination to remain engaged in public service and continue advocating for a safer, stronger, and more united New York.
