Council woman Inna Vernikov Endorses Andrew Cuomo in Brooklyn Meeting
Progga News Desk:
In a strong show of bipartisan support, Brooklyn Councilwoman Inna Vernikov has officially endorsed Andrew Cuomo in the upcoming New York City mayoral election. The endorsement was made during a cordial meeting held yesterday at Ocean View Café, located in the heart of a proud Russian-speaking immigrant community.
During the meeting, Cuomo praised Councilwoman Vernikov for her unwavering stance against antisemitism and her advocacy for public safety, accountability, and responsible governance. “Though we come from different political parties, our goals are the same—to safeguard New York’s core values and ensure a brighter future for the city,” Cuomo stated.
Councilwoman Vernikov expressed deep concerns about the direction the city may take if candidates like Zohran Mamdani are elected. “Many in our community fled Soviet repression to build a free life here. But we now fear that the very system we escaped could be reintroduced in New York under the wrong leadership,” she warned.
The gathering was attended by prominent members of the Russian-speaking community, who voiced their full support for Cuomo, emphasizing that under his leadership, New York could once again become a city of safety, fairness, and secular values.
