Uttom Kumar Saha:
Progga, my first child, is the most beautiful gift in our lives—the source of our pride and joy. Today, she turns 18. On this special occasion, my heart takes me back to that unforgettable dawn of May 3, 2008.
In the early hours of that morning, in a moment as radiant as daylight, Progga was born at Sumona Hospital with the caring support of Dr. Mala Bonik. Her arrival through a C-section was filled with both concern and hope. Yet, the moment I saw her mother’s face—smiling through tears of joy—and caught my first glimpse of Progga’s glowing little face, I felt something beyond words.
When I first held her in my arms, I was trembling with fear and overwhelmed with happiness at the same time. It felt like a miracle—my child, in my arms. I couldn’t hold back my tears. In that moment, I silently prayed to God to keep my daughter safe, healthy, and protected.
By the grace of God, Progga began to grow—her first words, her first steps, her first day at school—each one a priceless chapter in our lives. That tiny little girl has now stepped into her 18th year. How quickly time passes.
Progga, your intelligence, your dreams, and your smile inspire us to live anew every single day. The light within you continues to guide us.
I pray to the Almighty to bless you with a healthy, beautiful, and successful life. May all your dreams come true. May you spread your light everywhere you go.
With endless love and blessings for you—
Happy Birthday, Progga!
