“Adda Ghor” Launches in Jackson Heights Under New Management Free Biryani for the First 500 Guests Brings a Taste of Home to the Bangladeshi Diaspora

Progga News Desk:
In the heart of New York’s Bangladeshi neighborhood of Jackson Heights, the popular café “Adda Ghor” has officially reopened under new management, blending modern style with traditional Bengali warmth. The grand reopening took place on Friday, January 9, at 3:00 p.m. at its location on 72-23, 37th Avenue, drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd.
Following a change in ownership, Adda Ghor has been completely redesigned with a fresh concept, modern interior, and a distinctly deshi ambiance. To mark the occasion, the organizers offered a special treat to guests—free biryani for the first 500 attendees, creating excitement and a festive mood throughout the event.

One of the new entrepreneurs, Hasibi Ali, said,“We are not just opening a café; we are creating a space where stories will flow over cups of tea, memories of home will come alive through adda, and everyone will feel the warmth of their own living room.”Also present were fellow entrepreneurs Rezi Chowdhury and Habib Rayen, who shared that Adda Ghor aims to become a community hub for Bangladeshi expatriates—strengthening social and cultural bonds through tea, conversation, and authentic flavors from home.
The café offers traditional Bengali milk tea and red tea, a variety of snacks and desserts, and presents them in a modern café style while preserving the spirit of village-style Bengali adda. The management also revealed plans to host literary gatherings, cultural programs, and community get-togethers in the near future.
The opening day saw spontaneous participation from people of all walks of life in Jackson Heights, creating a lively and celebratory atmosphere in the area. The organizers are confident that Adda Ghor will soon become a favorite hangout spot for Bangladeshi expatriates, where tea and conversation blend with a deep sense of nostalgia for home.
